PUBLIC ENEMY

Public Enemy,
well, after a long time i finally saw a movie which had drama in it, though it was insanely long for my Indian tastes, it was good nonetheless.
the movie starts off in the Indiana state penitentiary, were a bunch of suspicious characters help free cons, and i must say it was beautifully done, but i guess killing a cop does not count as good, and as fate may have it only a handful made it out,

The story is set in the glory days of the F.B.I, Capone is behind bars, and the feds have got a golden reputation now, with the untouchables, in this glory days of the bureau there exists a small dark mark (as always) this dark mark is in the form of a man called John Dillinger, a bank robber played stunningly by Johnny Depp ( and here i thought that jack sparrow could never be removed from my mind, now John Dillinger (JD for short) is one helluva criminal, he walks into a bank nonchalantly takes out the guard, and then fires a warning shot, then he proceeds to empty the vault of its contents, but the thing (his trade mark) is that he always allows the customers to the bank to withdraw their money and when making his escape he takes a damsel(he crushed my hopes there) and the manager or any other official, the car he uses for his escapes, well personally i think the first one was an Aston martin, and the second and third i have no idea, well after he gets into this car, his tommy guns start to spit out fire, (music to my ears) and they make their escape, ( and JD is called the public enemy no 1)

Now to tide over this crisis in comes our super cop, Melvin Puris, in the form of christian bale(now somebody tell this guy to stop looking like Tom Cruise) so, the super cop comes and tries to nail our public enemy, but the sad part is he CANNOT be jailed, to put him in JAIL for the first time he uses pro's from the FIELD, and they do apprehend him, but unfortunately he escapes, in one helluva brilliant fashion.

During the course of the movie JD falls in love, Billie Frechette played by Marion Cotillard,and the usual love scenes, though i don personally like it,(comme on it cant beat porn).

The music which plays in the background is good, gives a feel of the 30's (not that i noe how it was back in "the DAY")

hats off to you, i really enjoyed this movie, and if you have the good fortune of getting a chance to see it, i assure it will be worth your time, though as i mentioned earlier the movie is painfully long :)

Harry Potter, the boy who lived, the single most famous person on the planet, frigging awesome dude, my first fiction series, Emma Watson, a goldmine, a franchise which may, can, could, will eclipse the star wars franchise.
A few of the words one hears when the word Harry Potter is uttered, oh I did forget to mention, “I love u HP”
And that is exactly what I expected of the sixth installment of his behemoth.
I walked into the theatre with all the potter paraphernalia, yes die hard death eater here…
I was so psyched I mean Evanna lynch and Emma Watson, two of my most recent crushes sharing the same screen space (duhh), and Michael Gambon, it was (or I was hoping so) going to be one helluva of an evening…
The movie started with a muggle bridge collapsing, ok that was a bit unexpected, I half expected the muggle minister to be pacing up and down not that Gordon brown can act :P

But now coming to the movie, I really liked the pace, at which it moves, the movie moves from privet drive to the house of the professor of potions Horace slughorn, and man that was one helluva meeting and the reason why I love this franchise was made quickly apparent, MAGIC, it really sends chills down my spine again, and add to that popcorns and a can of cola, awesome

If u read the book then the movie will be like going to a waltz only that this time you’ll know what to expect, the screen play is the best as far as I can see, this is the only movie after the first one that I really liked, it had everything in it, it had a stamp of SUCCESS written all over it,

And the icing on the cake for me, the two quidditch shots, one involving the selection of Ronald weasley into the griffindor team and the other the match between griffindor and slytherin, it always surprises me, as to how the directors of the movie (franchise) decided that the only houses in Hogwarts are griffindor and slytherin , and the lone ravenclaw representative being the weird and bizarre Luna lovegood ( peeves the poltergeist was missing this installment as well).
There’s plenty of smooching in this part, Ronald-lavender and Ginny- dean Thomas
The story does take on a hilarious tone in the course of the story.
The scene in which ron is drugged by the love potion is really rib tickling and so the aragon one (remember the frigginly huge spider which got hagrid expelled in the second movie)
The story does not focus upon the horocruxes as one might have imagined (if u don noe what that is.wiki it) I would’ve really loved to see more scenes of Hogwarts and the uniforms considering this is the late time we are seeing it, and also the memories (which occupy a great portions of the movie) are very well taken and the music is hauntingly beautiful, and yet when I left the hall, I felt let down, why do u ask !!

The reasons are many,
The Ginny – Harry kiss which is like the most important part in the book, the one scene where there is like tons of different characters and expressions and feelings involved in just ten lines, it was a TOTAL let down, I for one wanted to burn the theatre down, how could JKR have allowed that,

And the ending of the movie, the part where snape kills Dumbledore (yes he dies, sheesh), it’s a waste watching the movie I tell you, it’s like David Yates takes the movie to a crescendo only to drop to the rough surface and watch it shatter into a thousand pretty pieces, makes you wonder whether he’s one of the new gen sadist’s…cos I have not seen one yet..^^

So what do I feel of this movie, As a potter fan, a total let down, but if u are not one, or if u are just one who is starting to be absorbed in the potter universe then I tell u to get up from the comforts of your chair and go book a ticket….
A worthwhile watch …
